Celine: "I'm not saying you're stupid, I just think you have bad luck when it comes to thinking."
Can anyone tell me what this is about?
My dad asked me to find out as the neighbour told him about it, should he register or what?
I was just looking for the thread.
Ok they were on Morning Live this morning and according to the dude we have to personally go it to register and anyone who was in the service BEFORE 1994 can apply for benefits.
I was looking for more info online this morning but the guy said we have until the 13th of this month which is next week.
I have just found my army ID card.
Three people I know went to go register last week Thur/Fri.
entia non sunt multiplicanda praeter necessitatem
I too hears a rumour and ignored it due to lack of verifiable info. Then my cousin phoned me to say he knows 3 people who went to register and that he would be going the next day. I asked him to let me know. He calle dme back to say he had been to the old Drill Hall in Old Fort Road, Durban and there were tables and people manning them. Apparently they took your details down and thats about all.
Based on his info I am going to go have a look for myself on Monday. I find it amazing that there is no official information!
It would be interesting to hear what happens after you register. Do we register then NOTHING???
Well if this whole thing is true then I cant see how they can hold us to a deadline that isnt exactly being made known.
My father served 12 years in the military and hasn't received a single cent from them since he left. I would appreciate it if anyone can give me any info on where about to go for it.
Guys there is an advert about it on tv tonight on the sabc channels I am trying to get the info but guys keep a look out for it and post it please. Just saw it during the show The Mentalist.
This is a bit like Public Participation. The Powers That Be, take out adverts in local newspapers asking for Public Participation on a certain issue but they place the advert amongst the comics section or somewhere amongst the classified section so it's easily overlooked. When the poo hits the fan because Joe Soap and Joe Moor cry foul as they were not consulted, TPTB turn around and say "but we advertised it in the local bulletins, and it's not our fault people don't read the paper".
maybe this is a similar issue and they have 1 tv advert (which I saw WITHOUT my glasses on), and a guy on Morning Live 2 days ago right before cut off time.
