    Default Electronic music course???

What kind of course am I looking for?

Preferably in JHB, part time, after work hours
Includes music theory/song writing theory (applicable to all genres)
Includes electronic music theory (eg VST's, oscillators, FX etc.)
    Practical application (using software)
    How to Master tracks

    Not needed:
    Hardware/live performance

I am interested in learning about song writing using software. I have some experience in song writing (also have some basic experience with song writing using software), I play guitar (I suck at playing, I am a good song writer though). I am not really interested in live performance, or hardware (DJ)

Anyone know of any courses that fit my requirements closely? Could be a combination of courses aswell ^_~

Found this course, which is what I want

    http://www.emendymusic.co.za/master-...-6-months.html

BUT, it's theoretical lessons are on Fridays, and I have a job =\
I have enough leave to take off a day for every theoretical lesson, but I would not expect my employer to be pleased at all... It's like taking 21 long weekends in a row..

Seems like practicals are also done during the week, although you can do practicals at home whenever (which is what I would want to do), I'm pretty sure it would mean I would have to buy a lot of different software to be able to do so, matching the capability of the computers at the campus. You do get discounts while you are on the course, for the software used in the course, but this software is typically expensive.

I found another course in Capetown which is part-time. But that's Capetown.. Is there a JHB equivalent for a part time course?

Hmmm looks like it does, nice find

Here are the courses that seem to fit my requirements the best:

Emendy offers this course part time in PTA. Course times chosen.

Soul Candi institute of music (course available in JHB and CPT) Course times chosen.

If you are in cpt, there is also this course, focussing on electronic music production, taught part time

Doesn't DJK (or is it DJ...) do that house music business? I haven't seen him around these parts lately...
    I'm new here...
