I get about 14 hours with pretty heavy usage. Unplug from the charger at 8am and it will hit 5% at around 10pm.

Sent from my MB525 using MyBroadband Android App

Main differences are, as you said. better organized gallery
Android font for time when phone is locked
    Selectable profiles
As you type in a number it will bring up matches. My old Moto E8 had this and I missed it on 2.1 but it's good to have it
Better smiley support in messaging (if you into those lame things)
Probably a few other things I haven't discovered.

    Hope 2.3 materializes

Cool, going for my upgrade on Friday. Doubt they will have it in stock at autopage so imagine it will take a couple of weeks to get to me.

Excellent IMHO the screen is 3.7 inches and it has 480x854 pixels, a HTC Desire HD, while having a larger display (4.3 inches) it has 480x800 pixels, so the Defy's pixel density is finer and the result is a display that is sharper and crisper.

I'd pick the Desire HD over the Defy Kitchennaire any day of the week and twice on Sundays.
The Samsung Galaxy S2 - It is the only phone you will ever need.

OC, did you do a hard reset after the update? I didn't and couldn't see any improvements either. Then I saw a post on the Motorola support forum that recommended a hard reset - wow! Everything runs faster now and the battery lasts longer as well!

The hard reset is done by switching off the phone, then holding the power and volume down button simultaneously. That will open the boot menu where you can choose to do the reset:

    Power DEFY™ off.
    Wait 15 seconds.
Press and hold POWER/LOCK key and VOLUME DOWN key.
Continue to press and hold POWER/LOCK and VOLUME DOWN until a screen appears with a "!" inside a triangle and a small Android standing in front of it on a black background.
Once the "!"-Triangle screen appears, press both VOLUME DOWN and UP keys at the same time. This can be achieved by pressing the center of the VOLUME rocker.
Once the recovery menu appears (text is blue) use the VOLUME DOWN key to navigate to "wipe data/factory reset".
Select "wipe data/factory reset" with POWER/LOCK key.
Navigate with VOLUME DOWN key to "Yes -- delete all user data"
During this process you will notice the phone format the system memory and cache. This is normal.
After the factory reset has completed, select "reboot system now" with the POWER/LOCK key.
Please allow 3-10 minutes for system to recover. A long pause on the stylised "M" logo or the carrier animation is normal. DO NOT power the phone off during this period.
(MOTOBLUR™ devices only) Once the DEFY™ has booted, you will be greeted with the MOTOBLUR™ login page.

You should now be up and running! You will have to log back in to your Google account and any other accounts that are not associated with your MOTOBLUR™ account.

Thanks Naks. This two days ago, I charged my battery till full and then took it of the charger before I went to bed. I got two days out of that charge. Last night I put it on the charger over night and now the battery is already on red again. Do you think charging it over night could cause this? Anyone else have a opinion about it? I find it very odd.

I think I will do the hard reset as described by you this weekend...see if it makes a difference to the phones performance. I am happy with it as it is already...but hoping it will help with my battery probs.
