    Default Seagate Warranty Cape Town

Hey All... I know this has probably been covered here multiple times to date... but, once again... anyone know who can help with a Seagate drive warranty thing in Cape Town.

I have a 500GB Seagate 7200.12 purchased from Digital Addiction that has gone wonky... and am waiting on Digital Addiction... for over a week now. I am sure there is an easier way to get this sorted here in Cape Town. I just need the drive swapped, not worried about data.

Any advice ? Thread pointers or links ?

    Would be much appreciated.

Take it to Rectron. They'll scan it and tell you if the drive was purchased from them. If it wasn't, you'll have to pay R50 ex VAT to have it swapped out.

Agggghh... another Digital Addiction Seagate 500GB drive has just decided to start its demise.

Fek Fek Fek. Trying to get ANY support from Digital Addication has proved to be impossible.
Emails are ignored and now I am on the phone, 15 minutes and no answer.

Ah well... I will add it to the other dead drive from them and await a response from Rectron.

Funny thing is, the original order's 2 drives where returned the same day as faulty, both were dead and would not spin up... swapped out the same day for these that have now died. Faulty batch perhaps... ? Very grrrrrrrr.
