Thread: Trying to keeping aluminium windows open

Default Trying to keeping aluminium windows open

I moved into a new place last year. It has big aluminum windows and they blow closed in the slightest breeze. The previous tenant had plastic devices that were attached to each window to keep them open, unfortunately these things were made from cheap plastic and they have all broken. I have no idea what they are called or where to find them. I have searched all over. One side you attach to the window frame with double sided tape, then there is a piece about the size of a ruler that folds out and has notches that hook on the frame. I will try find one of the broken ones later and upload a pic. Any idea who makes them or where I can find them? Desperate.

Hold the window as far as you want it to stay open, tighten the hinge screws (repeat when necessary).
Worked at my bro's place. Due to the wind in the CPT CBD we had to do it about once a week / every two weeks
