    Default Unisa online registration

I decided today to register at Unisa using their online web based registration process. The first part of the process is applying for a student number. The registration process ends with a promise that they will email it to me. Has anyone else registered like this before with Unisa and how long did you wait for your student number ?

BTW one of my new years resolutions was to commit to start studying again. I completed my tertiary studies a while ago but decided that self development is also important for a balanced life (the lie I told when smashed) Lesson learned: don't make public announcements of intent to friends and loved ones at midnight new years when under the affluence of incohol...it will come back to haunt you.hehehe

Can we enroll Poison Ivy? Perhaps a course on communications might help the country out. I'll chip in.

    Roflol.

I've been studying with Unisa for the past 2 years - currently doing a Honours. I have never bothered to use the online registration because I have heard nothing but complaints.

Better to go to the nearest offices and do it in person.

Do you know where one can find the study module for a certain course?

I enrolled for a Bcom with specialisation in Financial Management in June last year and need to register more modules this year. Problem is I don't know what subjects are in the rest of this course that I can register for! I've phoned on the 4th, 5,th and today and held for 10+ minutes everytime before hanging up.

Do you have the Unisa Calendar? It specifies what you require and which courses are optional. I did BCom Economics and Management, so it was easy - half my subjects were Eco, the other half were Mgt.

    Yes, just download the calendar:

It should tell you all you want to know and a lot you do not want to know.

Sorry, I did not read your post properly. I thought you were phrasing a question.

BTech, enrol at the Florida campus (If you are based in Johannesburg). It took me 30 minutes. It's better than waiting for your course material. The sooner you get started the better! Good luck with your studies.

Thanks for the info. My post has disappeared!?!
I had to ask because I know UCT, for example, has a colour quota system for several courses.
