Thread: 3G handsets (fault)

  1. #1

    Question 3G handsets (fault)

I have noticed a few people using 3G handsets are struggling in the Uvongo and Margate area in receiving and making of phone calls however when they try there sim in other phones there seems to be no problems.
My guess is because the handset picks up weak 3G in stead of Normal basic cell coverage or it because the network is extremely busy during our holiday seasons.
The problem seems to be mostly with the Nokia 6680.
Has anyone else heard or dealt with this.
If so are there any patches or fixes?

Some subscribers have reported improved performance in switching between 2G/3G with the v4 software on the 6680.

Also forcing the phone to 3G (with netmonitor) helped divv, for one.

My sony Ericsson v800 and a Motorola v980 are having the same problems down on the south coast not only in margate or uvongo its as though the 3g signal just battles to maintain a voice call.As for braindead staff well i can only agree with that.
