Thread: Where to get a WP7 cheaply

  1. #1

Question Where to get a WP7 cheaply

I'm doing some development for WP7 devices but I don't actually own one. So I saw that 8ta has a special where you can get an HTC Mozart for R90 p/m but unfortunately the shops here by me have run out of stock. I've contacted 8ta via their website yesterday but haven't received any replies yet.

Are there any other options to get a WP7 phone cheaply that you guys know about? It doesn't matter if it's via a contract or not.

And what the hell. I thought I read an article here on MyBB that there isn't much of a demand for WP7 devices.

I think 8ta is your best bet. Hopefully you'll hear back from them soon. Good to know we have some locals developing for WP7.

Thanks eug. Yeah a lady from 8ta phoned me and managed to get hold of a phone for me. The shop closest to me will phone me and let me know when it arrives there. Very impressive.

I'm impressed! Most of the cell shops i've been to MTN/VC Don't know what I'm talking about when i ask about wp7 and they never have devices available.

You can now register on AppHub with a South African account, so SA is officially supported! You can also now send links for people to beta test your app before its available in the marketplace. So when you have your app I'll be glad to take it for a spin.

Enjoy your phone. I've been using mine for 8 months now and been loving it. Can't wait for all the goodies that the mango update brings!

What about access to the Market in SA? When are we getting it?

As far as i know we'll have it when mango officially launches, so it shouldn't be too long now.
