The time is running out very quickly now. And with the announcement of the Bok squad tonight I thought it good to jump start the RWC thread.

Lots of reservations going on in here :D

Let the games begin already!!! :D

Dammit. We have a white Ras Dumisani.....

Art Mathews made his name lekker gat now.

Even the girl from the FNB would have done better!

Did any of you see Butch making a fool of himself and Frans giving him a gentle nudge to get him under control? It cracked me up.

I've a spreadsheet that some will enjoy... will ask RPM to attach it here.

EDIT: See OP, thanks RPM!

There's a nice app for the iPhone simply called "Rugby 2011 World Cup" if anyone is interested. Will set you back a dollar though... A similiar app is also available for Android and it's free...

Interesting squad. Looking a bit thin at lock. Not much in the way of cover for Bakkies and Victor!!! Looks like Danie selected as lock and probably not lock/flank. No Kanko either... mmmmm.... Obviously the selectors got excited seeing how essential and effective a fetcher is in the modern game so they gone with Louw.... 3 hookers suggests they going to play Smit at both hooker and tighthead... malakies...

A look of versatility in the back division with cover for all positions, nice. Odwa is an interesting choice ahead of both Lwazi and Basson. Bit surprised. Hope he can make it through the tournament injury free though. He's had some serious injuries in the past...

Well gents, it's a team that can go all the way....

RPM also added a spreadsheet...

Awesome! Thanks RPM and MickeyD

And thank you very very much for a Rugby sub-section in Sports. Only noticed it today. Usually gain access to threads via my CP so missed it.

Excellent thread. Thanks to all contributing. @RPM & McD, thanks for spreadsheet. Also, the rugby sub-forun is appreciated :)

There are a few guys who have performed consistently well in the last while, who would have given themselves a chance of a call up, that did not make it.

It remains a good squad. If they continue to build on their last performance, this will be a great tournament for the Boks. I am happy with the squad.
