    Default Domain Transfer Question

Hi I'm transferring my current ISP hosted domain to a server box with fixed IP hosted by another ISP.
One of the options on the application form is : "Do you require ABC ISP to replicate Zone File before transfer".
I'm not sure what this means. Do I need to do it or not?
    Thanks

The zone file contains all your name to IP name mappings.
If you want to keep all your existing defined hostnames, then you should say yes.

If it's just a small file, with say just your MX record and your www A record (if any), then don't bother, your new ISP can create the entries from scratch.
