So I see Google + has finally opened it's doors to everyone. You still need a Google account to join, no more invite only.
Guess this is where all those tests come into play against Facebook and Twitter.
Against Twitter: Google has already has some big celebrities backing it and posting there. Some I suspect are obviously getting paid by Google, for example, Chris Tucker going to Google headquarters and having a live session on Google hangouts there https://plus.google.com/116525969499...78/posts?hl=en
But don't get me wrong, this is no different from celebrities on Twitter who have admitted tweeting for money by name dropping products.
I've found some celebrities enjoyable, so I guess like Twitter you have to weed out the good from the bad. I find the people who I follow very entertaining.
Here's Google official list: https://plus.google.com/getstarted/follow
Here's another a list which has more people listed than Google: http://www.recommendedusers.com/
The second one is better since the categories are more defined, like Foodies, Filmakers, Musicians etc. and not like how Google did and just put them into one entertainment circle. Remember if your not sure if the celebrity is real check out they verified status.
As for Facebook: Zuckerberg was one of the people using Google +, but the guy never made a single post but was one of the most followed people on G+.
What Google Plus had against Facebook is what everybody wanted and the reason why I never joined Facebook, was some form of privacy. The circles idea is why I joined Google Plus. Sometime into testing Facebook started taking the ideas of Google Plus such as the IM chat (which people hated) and now recently separating people into groups. I just read Google will be adding its final toppings to Google Plus since its opened now.
Hopefully more people will move to Google Plus so that I can be a hipster and tell them I was using Google Plus before it was trendy.
Sidenote: I just got use to the drag and drop feature...I like it alot.
Edit: Mods can you do something about the title?
