    Default Foreign Parcel Collection slip

So I received one of these in the post today. It states nothing other than an international and local tracking number and that I have to produce an ID document and how to "pay money" to them.

There are a few tel nr's but of course no one is answering. The address on the paper states JHB international mail centre, CNR Griffith and Jones RD, Jet Park.

Now what am I supposed to do with this info..? Must I go to the stipulated address and produce my ID document and then what..? I have a few very small items coming in the post bought from international sellers mostly from Singapore/China's side and I have no idea which one this may be.

Just phone them, they probably need some kind of invoice. I had some issue with that last time, the company never enclosed an invoice so i had to request an emailed invoice and forward it to the relevant person. They were quite helpful

I tried 4 of the numbers on the form without any answer. I really hope that they answer their phone. I phoned non stop for about 30 minutes with no answer. Will try again tomorrow morning. Thanks for the response

I got one of those the other day. I just went to where the stamp told me to go. In my case Northriding. I also had to pay taxes. The amount was also shown on the slip.

No and No. I think yours is probably just a normal PO slip where is stipulates the amount of customs tax & clearance fee payable as well as which PO it is located at. This is a "different" slip. I know which one you are referring to though.

Did this 2 weeks ago so I know the story

They close at 4:30-5 so be there early
Take along: Invoice or quote for the item,ID book and cash/card to pay taxes for the item based upon the invoice amount. They also ask when you collecting what it is
If you need help finding it this is the approximate location on googlemaps

I got though. Faxed them the invoice and details of the PO to forward it to, and that's where it all went dead! Now the parcel has disappeared.

It depends on what the slip says.

I normally get these and they give you the option of either collecting it or you can fax through a request that they forward it to your nearest Post Office. In the fax you need to include a cover letter requesting they forward it, a copy of the invoice and a copy of your ID.

Normally that does the trick and a couple of days later I can go pick it up at the Post Office and pay the Tax + customs fee.

Dammit. I just got one of these notes.

Did you first phone and enquire, or did you just fax through the info and hope for the best?

Also dealextreme shipped my order in two separate packages. So now do I submit the full invoice for both packages. Do I edit the invoice according to what I think is in the package?

UPDATE: I got through to them over the phone.

Apparently I just need to fax through the invoice with the tracking number, and they will forward it to the relevant post office (as per the address on the package).

I emailed my invoice through. I don't know why they only stop DX packages. Not one of my other packages have ever been stopped like this when it came from other vendors.

This is my third package. The first time its been stopped. But the other packages were for insignificant amounts. Also dx shipped this one in two parts. Don't know if that has something to do with it.
    I came. I saw. I concurred.
