Thread: Transnet refuses ANC funding request

  1. #1

Thumbs down Transnet refuses ANC funding request

    http://www.businessday.co.za/article...aspx?id=155426

The ANC’s request to Transnet flies in the face of ANC national chairwoman Baleka Mbete’s undertaking that the ANC would not use state funds for its centenary celebrations
The ANC got caught out again.

In her reply to the same question this week, Defence Minister Lindiwe Sisulu said her department had "sadly" not been approached for funding but would have been "honoured" to consider such a request if made.

Lindiwe Sisulu should be fired for making such a public statement.

Heh, watch the headlines, first it will be "ANC splurges R50mil on party", then a few months or so later you will see "SAA/Transnet/SOMEnet records R50mil loss for 2011 financial year", or something to that effect.
