Official LG P970 Optimus Black thread

Earlier this week my LG Optimus Black P970 (not rooted, Gingerbread 2.3.4) started saying "Removed SD Card SD Card Removed. Insert a new one"

SD Card is fine because my Galaxy Tab and old Nokia detect it. Tried other working SD Cards in my LG, but those are not detected either. Formatted the SD Card & Removed the password from, still nothing. If I connect the phone (with SD Card) to PC, it doesn't detect the SD Card (Just detects F Drive but not the actual card)

Did a Factory Reset, but that didn't resolve the problem either.

Google search says the above or else the phone's sensor might be problem. Any other ideas what could be causing the problem?

Hate to have to take it in for repairs . Cell C says 21 days .

Mine did the same,had to take it in,2 months later ( vodacom ) it got fixed

Was just gifted this phone on my birthday and I love it. It's faster and better than my Moto Defy. It came with Froyo and RBM. Want to know how to remove all that and if it would be wise for me to upgrade to GB. Thanks.

Gb is nice but the official rom slowed down my phone quite a bit. Rather get one of the custom roms.

Yes I would suggest you stay on Froyo until we get a better release of GB or go custom.

Finally managed to bump my phone from stock LG GingerBread to Zeus yesterday & no hassles at all. It's almost like having a new phone, the thing is flying, haven't even messed around with overclocking or anything.

Eh,like 2 weeks ago I think,the original thread was locked due to junk and Huex is on holiday so he made a new thread for it,you can find the 7 DL link on his blog

It handles similar to the older versions but is more polished I rate,Diff between vista and win7 pretty much

ive been so happy with v6.xxx i didnt bother looking for anything else...

just one thing that i want back from the stock rom
when i get a message the message icon used to have the number of unread msgs indicated in the top left part of the icon
same with missed calls

not sure if its just me or if its supposed to be like that...
anyway to get that back?
