I am considering switching to Mweb from Webafrica and would appreciate the feedback! Thanks in advance.
I'm not sure what you are suggesting by this? That MWEB make it faster for the first few months?

In any event, my MWEB experience has been divided into 3 sections - In the beginning it was fast, then it seemed to get a bit overloaded and wasn't so fast, and since they did an upgrade a while back it's been great, in general.

So I would be doing roughly 15% of that and thats why I don't think I would be considered a heavy user but I don't know what MWEB's requirements are.

Only one way to find out though so I will have to see how it goes from June onwards.
I've gotten well over a hundred gigs a month before, and never a peep from MWEB, as I would expect.

MWEB will not shape or throttle you based on your use (certain protocols like P2P are shaped, based on the general network load, especially during business hours obviously), only warn you (as far as I can gather), if you purposefully bypass the shaping.

    Hi MWEB Guy

I would just like to ask, when they came to install our also line, we weren't syncing so the guy changed our ports from either 1 to 3 or 3 to one, now since then it hasn't been syncing at 6mb! I have been reading some of the articles in the Mybroadband forums and they say that Telekom changed there ports to the better side and now they syncing at 20mb which is true considering their stats went up a heck of a lot!! Could you see if you could change the ports?

    Regards

    Oliver

    Hi Oliver

I'm not sure that it would be possible.
I think those exchanges in question could be part of Telkom's trial to test higher bandwidth speeds.

Oh... just thought I had to mention...

Thanks to Mweb, I was able to download the Guildwars2 beta client in one go, at full speed in preparation of this weekend's beta. It took me just over 30 hours.

The [cough]other place with the rolling windows[/cough] would have had me do it in 5 days....

I have checked your line and your readings are all good.
Provide me with a trace to an international site.

Did you activate your ADSL? There is a site you have to visit on the Telkom website.
