To my knowledge there still is a fault, I requested a temporary account until the issue is sorted and got the details within 2 hours.

Thanks MrBEEP for the prompt response & great service. :-)

Not disconnecting on WA, but I can't even stream 480p on youtube. When I asked through email to be moved to an IS account, I got this response: "DSLHeaven is currently performing better than IS"

Not to be picky, but BCS isn't working, WA can't stream youtube and I've been told IS is a no go...

One thing I can't figure out, is my cheapo axxess just uncapped 4meg account is giving me a 720p stream of the same videos just fine. What is wrong with the IS network

Kindly email support@openweb.co.za with your ADSL username and a tracert to www.youtube.com so that we can log a fault for you.

I have had a look but do not seem to find a response to your email citing further problems, thus we presume the problem was resolved. I apologise for that!

    Hey Hey

Just occurred to me that is has just been a year since I switched to OpenWeb Gold.

    My, how time flies.

I have only requested a single backbone change in this past year, and apart from the SAT3 and SEACOM failures... have not had anything but full speed and reliable service. Even with a borked Telkom exchange, this account still performs as well as it can, without fail.

So, just a one year anniversary cork pop from me. Thanks MrBEEP. Will see you here for many more to come!!!

I've now been moved to a new IS account, and I've been maxing out my line on all protocols since 11AM this morning. Even during business hours. Finally getting what I'm paying for, certainly a big improvement!

    Thanks MrBeep.

    Hi

I've had a 4MB Uncapped Gold (DSL Heaven BB) account now for about a week. During the day general surfing is acceptable, even though youtube buffers all the time. Its after hours that have a huge problem with. I've never been able to download faster than 180kbps. As it is now I am downloading at 18kbps. Recon I will have to mail SUPPORT on Monday to get this sorted. Not the kind of performance I was looking for on a brand new account.

Apologies for the late reply. I would say around 3 minutes after emailing support I received a human response to the problem with account details for a new account on a different backbone. Problem is the the router was at the office and I was at home and a the remote reboot didnt work out as planned. So I came in early set it all up and WOW.

On seedtest.net I am now 3.7Mbps as apposed to the previous 1.6Mbps
Downloads are now 400kbps+ as apposed to 8-170kbps.

Happy? No. Ecstatic more like it. :-)

You guys need to slow down on your service, if word got out you would embarrass the hell out of any other ISP. :-)

THanks alot MrBEEP and the Support Person.
