A polite request to recosider your data rollover policy

Noticed something strange the other day.

Have the 2GB+2GB special.
Not been using my 3g modem all that much the last 2 months as I wanted to build up around 4GB for December.
Last time I checked my 3g data usage (Sunday) I noticed my carry over was at 690summink megs but my normal data was at 1.8something GB.

Is Vodacom leaving the previous month's carry over till you have used the current month's data?

Shouldn't it use the carry over data first?

Hi,

I have a Vodacom 3g data account (2GB + 2GB night owl special at R149 per month).

Due to the way that vodacom work at present when I have data that carries over to the following month I can not use it until I have finished my new data.
This means I lose between 600 megs to over a gig of data each and every month.

I also believe that these carry over times should be for 6 months and not for just 1 month (as per the new CPA) I also believe the 2GB nightowl should also carry over (as per the CPA).

Please do something about these cellphone operators as they are constantly doing everything in their power to give consumers as little of the product that they have purchased as they possibly can.

Yes, this is a frequent reaction when something hurts the VC image.

Used to it by now but wish they would at least look, see if there is anything they can do and reply.

I have an idea they are not allowed to though.

They do this with rollover airtime/minutes as well.
CPA is supposed to protect us but it appears that for now Vodacon is just giving us the finger.

I was on a Talk 500 contract back in 2007/2008 and I lost a LOT of bundled minutes due to this lame policy.

Hi Astroturf

You will make use of the current months data bundle before using the carry over data. You will also receive an official response to your letter to the NCC.
