    Please explain that.
Sorry, only now seeing your question. I understand that you are asking me "how I was able to recover to the original Gingerbread"?

Its simple - keep the off button pressed and your Note should turn off. I said that in my post.

If you are having the same problem as I was, follow the steps I took in my "success" post. Might work for you.

Follow everything I did, don't think that a step is not necessary. Since every PC setup is different, it helps to reduce the possible causes by performing a clean start (reboot), disconnect internet, drop your defences, and I think key, connect to a rear USB port, not a USB port on the front. Also, don't use an extension USB cable either.

    Good luck.

Followed your steps and still had issues, but thanks.

I must say that this whole process has left a sour taste in my mouth with regards to Samsung and Android. I bricked my phone last night after it failed mid-uprgrade. I managed to fix everything today by trying a 2 other machines and starting with a GB firmware and it finally worked on an XP laptop. Im over all of this now.

I'm not liking ICS at all. Delayed responses, overall glitchiness, emails just hanging, sigh :/

Doubt you will find a shop that will do it, potential risk and all.

Well the stock launcher is rubbish, thats why the market has nova and apex. But I been using ICS for nearly 7 months, almost 2 of those on my note and the universal problem is the crappy launcher which is at most a R20 fix. Almost all reports show a similar to improved battery life and overall improvements all round.

From what I remember was the only actual problem with stock launchers was it uses a software render instead of hardware which makes it a big laggy at times. Bout every other market launcher uses the hardware or gpu to do it. Apex and Nova are just the 2 decined to visually mimic the original ICS

Well if you guy by ratings and downloads apex would definitely be the favourite, but in the end its personal opinion that counts. I have used both nova and apex and decided to stick with an pay for apex, they both have free function restrictive versions, so you may as well test them both, give them a day or 2 each and make up your own mind.

What I prefer may not necessarily be what you prefer, however looking at the functions and features list they appear pretty much the same thing with only slight feature/function differences. THe big selling point for me on Apex was the backup feature, allow you to backup your entire launcher with the exception of widgets, which at the time using CM7 during the test phases and the pending upgrade to the Note was extremely useful. With titanium back able to do a 1 click restore of all my apps including data as it was on my nexus, then my launcher to restore the bulk of my configurations and shortcuts made quick work of all that.

I used Go on my S2, but it was very laggy on my Note. I use Nova now and it is really smooth.
