I would like to call myself an owner, but in reality the bank owns my house - 31 married
If you go to Makro and purchase a washing machine on your credit card and take it home, do you you own the washing machine or does the bank?
Same concept. The house was purchased in your name - not the bank's. The bank is just lending you the money to make the purchase.
You owe the bank money - you do not owe the bank the property.
They just hold on to the title deeds until you fulfill your financial obligation to repay them.
If you fail to pay, the bank has to go through a legal process to repossess you house since they do not own it.
