I've been having quite a few troubles with WA lately...
Isn't Mweb more expensive though? WA is handling my line as well, the package deal option...

For the 1Mb/s uncapped yes(the 1 Mb line is far cheaper at WA R289 vs R200, the account only R10 cheaper), 4Mb/s which I'm on no it's the same price! R899

Oh ya and it's back up

Yes Web Africa were doing something this morning starting at exactly 3:00 that impacted users. I tried different DNSs but didn't work.
So I went to bed at 3:30. Now its working so it must have been maintenance as the webafrica sites itself was working during that period.
This is the first time I found they have been down during that hour so I will forgive them that.

I'm jumping ship... I'm on the 1mb uncapped since the start of the year and its been up and mostly down experience. far as I can notice the shaping is done on random, sometimes when I'm within my threshold it runs at 50%. Other times I'm over it and it runs at 80%. Between 12AM and 6AM its the same story, I've gotten 100mb in total between 12AM and 3AM. The usage monitor just randomly doubles your usage... so where it should say 350mb it reports 700+ and kills your usage for the next 6 hours!

They should have been with the implementation of the new NNTP server up and running. I'm aware of a few glitches though, but these should be sorted out. If there are problems though, drop our ADSL guys a mail, they're dealing with testing and passing the relevant info onto the Engineering folks

Well this morning the news server was working very well!!

My WA account has been very stable. 7ms ping and constant decent download speeds.
