Did anyone do a site survey beforehand?

Yes we did a site survey, and we could see our base-station 100%, but if you are clued up there is away some-were a problem with interference.

we also used UBNT airlink to check as well

when we did our Carlton Center link back to our office , Ubnt Airlink said one thing and got something else..

Well if you were clued up you would not need to install additional antennas/equipment if you did a proper site survey.

SA Wireless's idea of a site survey is to have a gander at the highsite - if they can see it with the naked eye from your location, they promise the world. No equipment needed, apparently.

    hi jy_wil_mos

please inlite me of the problem?

just want to find out if you filled in the Wireless Application form? , as for site survey we first plot it on our system, as we have learned from our mistake + we also go out and have a look to see if there any obstructions in the way.

if you still need help, please give us a call or e-mail us..

I don't see a problem with this, cause if they can't see him because there is a tree or building in the way, then you clearly don't have LOS and their offerings won't work...

Everyone is too highly strung with too many expectations.
Whether a mistake was made by SAWireless or not, every effort was made (in my opinion) to rectify and keep the client happy.
SAWireless did not try in any way to screw the client over or take his money for no reason. How many companies' CEO's would call the client to resolve the problem? Not many.
Guys, people make mistakes or certain unforseen problems will arise, expecially with IT. Why not work together to fix the problem instead of making a huge issue out of it?

Dunno, a partial refund after some company didn't deliver would make me angry and warn others here too.

The company wasn't given a full opportunity to deliver.

If the company couldn't deliver at all for whatever reason, then agreed. But this was not the case IMO.

    If you say so......
But I received a call from the CPA agent, and the case is still proceeding against them. However long it takes. I'll wait.

For my sites, I've used suppliers from the Wireless Access Provider's Assocation (http://www.wapa.org.za/members), depending where in the country. I haven't had a problem thus far but I see there is a dispute procedure.

Thanks. That is all correct. Our intention is to improve the reputation of the industry.

WAPA has a place on the home page (www.wapa.org.za) where you can click for coverage requests and you will receive answers from suppliers who have signed the code of conduct and are subject to the dispute procedures.

Try it out and post feedback.
