I really, really want to see Hamilton and Button walk this one... and they're making a decent start of it.

Hey, I'm still hopeful - if they've gone for a setup slightly biased to a dry race, and the weathermen are actually right for once, we'll be in for a cracker. At least it's a track where there'll be some overtaking.

But yes... I bow to your predictive skillz.

Hey, i'm hopeful too but we're hopeless in the wet.

The Maccas seem to be performing extremely well in cool dry conditions which is what tomorrow will apparently be like, so I can see us moving up onto the podium tomorrow.

I'm also hopeful but I suspect Alonso will be strong in the dry too. So far it looks like Alonso is the one to beat - he is ready for his third IMO.

Good race. Alonso is in a league of his own this year. Hasn't made a mistake, really looking good with a car capable of winning regularly. Glad Vettel got second in the end. McLaren has found pace out of nowhere :O Still a long season though, seems most of the teams have the tires under control.

    Any idea why Hamilton retired?

What impressed me is that Alonso pulled away from Vettel even when Vettel was using KERS...

I heard him say "I have a problem. I have a problem" and the commentators said it was a puncture. He then retired and I missed the exact reasoning...

I'm not convinced he has the best car, it's difficult to say IMO, but he's certainly making the most of what he has!

FIA will be under pressure if they have to penalise him... his home crowd won't be forgiving lol.

Can someone fill me in, because I was swapping between cricket and F1 streams. How did Vettel cheat, exactly...?

@MyDog Well I didn't say Ferrari has the best car, just one capable of winning. Just like Red-Bull and McLaren. :P

@Ros - Need to lurk less on the British F1 forums. Vettel was along side Button, Vettel then took the safer option, look at the overtake again and you'd see in the end Button used the entire road and left Vettel no room, while Vettel was a significant portion next to Button. Compare that to Bahrain where your beloved Hamilton over took Rossberg off track while not even being next to him when Rossberg started his move to the right. Just butt hurt McLaren fans
