Must watch: Prometheus

Great CG & Great Cinematography. Some great acting (especially David and Dr Shaw)
3D effect was subtle and very well done (I didn't hate the 3D! Woo!)

Story.. there were some holes. The plot falls flat every now and then. People's behaviour isn't logical, and the illogical parts aren't explained (some intentionally, it forms part of the theme and the story and the questions, but some just don't make sense). The last minute of the movie is a WTF almost-retcon to make it fit into the Alien universe.

So yeah, it was definitely entertaining.. but I wouldn't say it was epic.
It's worth watching once.

Fsck this whole universe thing man, go watch it for its entertainment value The fact that they managed to keep to the story should be a bonus, not a deal-breaker

Not in my books, I have alarm bells in my head that keep on screaming so I end up walking away worse than having seen movies like that.

Nah...none of those intrigues me really. I have become extremely hard to please lately when it comes to movies. I have turned into a real grumpy pants. I think the only movie that will get me hot and bothered again after Prometheus will be Star Trek....but that is only in 2013. bleh

All I can say is I was disappointed with it. Story was slow in the beginning then way to fast in the end. Everything happened in the last 5 minutes with no type of conclusion. As well in alien you see the space jockey with a bust open chest which makes no sense to how he died in Promethius.

Unless that octopus thing was a different form of face hugger, but that still doesnt make sense as to why he would try sit in the chair with a crashed ship as per alien. Aswell the space jockey are almost half the size in Promethius as in alien.
