    Default CPA and contract renewals

So here's a question, if you signed up for a 3 year gym membership back in the day and it expired at the end of December last year, and the contract has a clause saying you should provide 3 months notice to cancel otherwise it continues, is there any way out of it?

Surely since this is a contract renewal it would fall within the current act and it would provide you with the cooling off period?
There are those that do and those that just do talking, we're all going through hell - it's burn or keep on walking.

I would agree with you. i have been looking into other areas that the CPA applies retrospectively but cant really find a clear answer to that, but as the CPA applies to contracts ending after 2013. thus if it is a "non ending loop" contract the CPA must apply?

    Nope.

Similar to this was discussed before.. Pen to paper on or after CPA date.. then you are covered.

Everything else... bend over and take it.

    The short answer.
