I have been trying to get 8ta transmitter co-ordinates from them since November. I eventually visited all the sites where new transmitter aerials had been erected, and found the 8ta transmitter that way, by asking the owner of the building
8ta did answer nearly all my emails, but with answers like, "your inquiry is receiving attention", and 4 which read "please give your name and address" which was already on the email I sent. I got the impression that the people receiving the emails could not speak English. Then there was one last week which said "according to our records, your subscription has lapsed" which is amazing for a pre-paid subscription that expires in Jan 2013,
that's odd, as I PM'd 8ta - they called me and were even prepared to come to my house for free (no modem bought from them) which I declined and they then sent me the 3 closest towers to my home's GPS coordinates

Just keep track of it yourself, use self control :P You can setup programs like NetLimiter to monitor a computer's usage and show warnings to make it easier. Otherwise all I do is every few days go to an 8t awebsite and check how much cap I have left. Store it in a spreadsheet which I've set up to tell me how much I use every month, and how much I have left.
Works well.
As some others have mentioned, I've also noticed a general improvement in the stability of my connection.

It's impossible to set your self monthly quotas.

Yeah, the thing is we have 2x smart phones, 1x tablet, 1x media player, 1x tv and 2x PCs all with access to the 3G via wireless.
I am just scared that one device might start to pull a large amount data without me knowing about it before it is too late...
Being able to limit myself to 10Gig per month would have solved this.

Thought about something like that, but I cant justify having a dedicated machine running just for this. I wonder if I could get it to run on an old thin client.. but those normally only have one NIC so it will probably wouldn't work.
Would have been good if I could get my 3G router to hard cap, but I see no such option.
Going with the 10GB pm @ R199 is probably a better option for me.

Have you looked at getting a MikroTik router?
They are highly configurable:

Hey Guys, if the answer to my question has been posted before, I just could not find it and also not in the stickys....
So here goes:
I just got the 2+1GB package and it works well, so I want to upgrade to the 60+60GB pre-paid.
Is it possible on the same sim card?
How do I do this physically? Detail please guys?
