funny how the table doesn't mention which version of Android this guy is running but rather, a GPU clocked @ 384 MHz. o_O

And not mentioning its slightly curved screen is also a sin... that (and NFC) is partly what distinguishes it from a Galaxy S2.

Guess I could've mentioned again that the Galaxy Nexus is Google's flagship ICS device.

The reason the table doesn't show it is because I maintain a single spreadsheet with smartphone specs. Android versions supported by phones change over time and it becomes difficult to keep track of, especially considering that manufacturers don't announce which of their devices receive updates in SA all the time.

I have a feeling that my next voice contract might be with 8ta after being with MTN for many years. I find MTN is dropping a lot of calls and the call quality is getting worse. Plus, the data network is very bad lately.

Why do you maintain a spreadsheet of smartphone specs when gsmarena.com does it for you?

Well in that case then I will pay less for the same quality.

MTN, on the other hand, said that it doesn’t currently have plans to launch the Galaxy Nexus in SA.
Seems MTN will be losing out, as it looks like this will be a popular smartphone, especially as it will have ICS.

    This is good news.

I maintain several spreadsheets for data and information reasonably readily available elsewhere simply because I like the ability to compare all in one place and also like to filter certain info from time to time.

    ^ This.

And sometimes GSMArena gets it wrong (as with the case of the Galaxy Nexus' lack of SD card support - fixed by now, of course).
