Thread: Which XBox?

  1. #1

    Default Which XBox?

Can someone here give me some tips on what XBox to get where to get it?

I know nothing about the Xbox versions. I am looking to play games offline only (not into the whole online thing) and also not interested in the Kinetic thing. I seem to remember someone saying that there are different hardware versions of the Xbox, what should I look for?

Am I correct in saying that I need the XBox arcade? Also should I get a harddrive or can I use an existing usb external drive?

    Thanks,
    Russell.

the curent cheapest xbox comes with a 4GB hard drive on board, if you only playing offline then that wil be more than suficient for your sons save games.
And if he does need more memory the xbox can use up to a 16GB flash disk (maximum of 2 giving you 32GB extra) as extra memory

Get a slim 250GB. The slims run quieter and cooler then the phat's and the 250GB is so useful. On BF3 you weren't able to download the texture packet onto a 4GB(I don't know if that problem has been recitifed), you can install your games onto the HD, plus it gives you a lot of space for demo's, video's and arcade games from Live.

yeah this and the major advantage of having your games on the hdd is that your laser lasts longer

hahaha how is this for murphy's law. The day I comment that my xbox is unbreakable it breaks !!

Hahaha power surge last night 3 red lights flashing... but thankfully it just looks like the the power brick got zapped as it has a red light instead of a green one. Gonna borrow another power brick and see if my xbox works tonight.
