@ biltong - my drops was sometimes about 4 per hour and sometimes it held up for up to 2 hours...never more than 2 hours

In that case I think mine is doing well. This thing is brand new out of box so I think if it ain't broke don't fix it - but just out of curiosity, are there any new features or anything like that in the new firmware?

Nope, only thing that happened apart from the line that holds up for me is the wifi that drops every now and again (but goes on by itself) is the fact that I only sync @ 3mb on my 4mb line

2 days later and not a single connection drop. Wireless has been rock solid, too. Perhaps there was a bad batch?

Who knows. A friend of mine just bought the 2750u and I immediately updated the firmware for him before he could even use it.
He hasn't had any issues thus far with it. I do believe in the new firmware. Regarding the wireless, I got the occasional wireless drop in my place as well on both the old and the new firmware. Quite a strange one but I thought it was maybe my distance from the router and interference in the house from electrical appliances or something.

    I setup a 2750U & a DAP1360 last weekend.

All the Dlink devices have been updated & are running the latest firmware.

Everything works well for five minutes & then all wireless clients (a mixture of tablets, phones & PS3) disconnect.

I tried all sorts of things - Changing settings, moving devices around etc. In the end, I changed the Wireless channel from 1 to 9 & there hasn't been a single wireless disconnect since then.

The only other wireless device in the house or surrounding area I could find, was one of those DSTV Remote Blaster Infrared devices.

    Hi all

I need some advice. I have the same D-Link DSL 2750U adsl router which I bought from Mustek in CT on the 28/05/2012. I haven't had any problems at all until this Wednesday.

My phone line does not work when the router is connected. As soon as I disconnect the phone line from the router then my phone line works again.

The phone therefore works on its own and when the router is connected I can connect to the internet but I cannot use the 2 together anymore.

Does anyone know why this has happened?

    Thanks in advance.

@Fuzzymodo do you have a POTS filter connected to the line?!?

If not, add one, around R40 from a Telskum shop.

If you have one, try replacing it.

Zarathrusta yes I have a POTS filter connected to the line.

I will buy a new one and see if it works when I replace it.

    Thanks

I had two of these and they both were useless so I got the Netgear and it is working fine.

So far I haven't had any drops of late since changing to channel 9. Rather stoked!
