They reckon it is currently in their warehouse in France on route to SA!!!
What's irritating is I ordered 2 of these covers direct from Switcheasy. The process didn't even require a login or registration on their site. Click purchase, pay with Paypal and they dispatch to the address linked to the Paypal account. The goods were delivered to my front door via Fedex, from Hong Kong, within 7 working days!!
It cost me close to double (R130 vs R240) but minus the aggravation.

I ordered a sigma lense for a canon camera from expansys, all the reports had me worried but saving R1000 made me order anyway. the time was longer than stated on the web site but I knew I had to be patient. every time I emailed the track order email address they gave me feedback I recieved my goods on 2-04-2012 and it was ordered on 07-03-2012 not to long wait.. Thanx expansys will use you again
Oh I got a refund about 3 days ago. 6 weeks later they best they can do is a refund. No apologies, just a refund. Crap company. Won't do business with them again if I can possibly help it.

I ordered 2 items listed as "Expect Stock in 10 Days from order" and paid on the 20th of August. Then I received this on the 23rd:
"Your order status is "Awaiting Stock transfer from Expansys International Warehouse""
Yay!
I allowed 3 weeks to pass before querying the order status, to be sent this:
"... have unfortunately not arrived with us as expected. The
revised arrival date for your item to arrive in JHB is +- 20-25 September. Once the
item arrives in JHB it will need to clear through customs before being delivered to
our offices.
We understand that your order will now be significantly overdue based on the
initial estimate provided.
Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused, we appreciate
your patience and understanding tremendously."~
So how-da-wiggy does an order go from "Awaiting stock transfer" to "did not arrive as expected" 3 weeks later???
So they get to enjoy the payment I made immediately, whilst I'm stuck with NOTHING for a month?

its becoming one of my pet peeves to be honest...
retail websites listing items as "available" so then you order and pay, and then you get the email "um sorry, actually not in stock"
really pisses me off. to such an extent that I now check with the store IF THEY HAVE STOCK, and THEN I order. Im quite happy to pay a couple of bucks more and get it sooner from another store than sit around with cock in hand for 3 months while they try to import from France

This was Expansys's one chance to change my view of their service quality and they blew it. Ebay it is, if I can't find any local alternatives. Items I've ordered from the States, Europe and even Hong Kong, have arrived here within 2 weeks. Expansys's crap isn't worth supporting

I have ordered 3 items from them a few days back. I am almost certain I saw somewhere that they will only debit your credit card once the goods are ready to ship. I see my card has already been debited and doubt that they are ready to ship as it clearly said 5 - 10 days.![]()
Lets hope I even get my stuff.

I have ordered a Samsung Siii through Exansys on Dec 14th. Paid via paypal the same day i.e. my credit card has been debited right away. The website indicated 5 working days delivery time.
On Dec 20th I received an email saying that the estimated delivery time will be 3 working days from that day.
Today Jan 7th, still not delivered. And no more emails from them.
I have made multiple calls and sent tons of emails. They simply don't answer the phone and don't reply to emails! On the phone the message 1 for sale, 2 for tracking lead to the same elevator music for hours and no one pick up the phone ever.
This is the worse online buying experience I have ever had! Expansys in Europe works like a charm. Here in SA it is a nightmare.
I really wonder if that company actually exists!
It is a hoax?
If I don't have an answer but Jan 14th, I will open a claim with paypal to get the money back and will lodge a complaint with the police and the consumer protectors office. Probably useless but the more bad publicity we can make on that "company" the better for the next customers!
