Official Super Rugby Thread 2012

lions should do better. bulls have basically a brand new team and will not perform that well. sharks and stormers will be thereabouts. cheetahs might improve a place.

I am looking forward to this. I hope that the Lions have a big enough group of players to make a good go of it in the Super Series.

South Africans make up half of the positions on the ten-man Merit Panel of referees for the 2012 Vodacom Super Rugby competition, SANZAR announced today. Two more South Africans have been added to the Reserve Panel for the first time.

Rugby World Cup referees Craig Joubert and Jonathan Kaplan as well as Marius Jonker, Mark Lawrence, and Jaco Peyper are the five South Africans on the merit panel while Lourens van der Merwe and Stuart Berry come on to the Reserve Panel. The other newcomers are Angus Gardner and Andrew Lees of Australia and Mike Fraser of New Zealand.

“We plan to give our Merit Panel referees around 80% of the games in Super Rugby, next year, with the Reserve Panel picking up the balance,” said Lyndon Bray, SANZAR’s Game Manager.

The Sharks will win. I know its hard and uncomfortable to admit. But the Sharks are the only team in the country guys! Come now, always keep it real. And remember, ask not what you can do for yourself, rather what can you do for the legendary Sharks rugby team!!!!

I can not believe they are not broadcasting the Warm up game tonight (Stormers vs Lions).

Tomorrow's game between the Cheetahs and the Kings is also not televised :( :mad:

Don't worry bud, won't be long before we will have 7 Super 15 games and 3 Six Nations games on a particular weekend.

Haha, yes I can't wait! I even enjoyed seeing the stormers play their warmup last weekend :D

No thank you. Of all the teams I only like the sharks less :)

And the NZ jerseys are sold out here in Cape Town.
