CellC 5GB Speedstick expires....alternative suggestions?
Hi,
My CellC 5GB per month Speedstick expires soon. (12 months almost over).
Is there a change one can renew the data for another 12 months, or do you have to buy at the ridiculously high prices that CellC instated after the special offer expired?
What other bundles and specials can compare with that?
I need at least 5GB unthrottled access.
I heard MTN Uncapped Lite throttles after 3GB.
What happens with 8ta's 10GB?

Assuming you have coverage 8ta is your best option by a long way. Either the 24 month 10GB for R199 pm contract (internet 5 promo) or the 60GB + 60GB valid for 12 months prepaid special.
You can pop an 8ta sim in your existing modem and off you go.
In South Africa even the information superhighway has potholes on it.
Go for the 8ta 60GB + 60GB promotion. Just remember to make sure you have good coverage in your area before you buy it.
What speeds do you get on the 8ta network?

Mine Expired today - CellC want over +R4000 for the same 5GB per month deal. err heck no...

Been testing a friend's 8ta, but the speed is poor compared to the CellC.
Area is Eldoraigne, Centurion.
CellC: down 5mbps, up 3mbps
8ta: down 1mbps, up 0.1mbps
Anybody else experience the same problem?

All this is great IF you have 8ta coverage. But if not, then to go back to the OP's original question, what else makes sense on prepaid?
