Seems it is a Durban problem as Mweb has IPC capacity in Durban as well.
In PE - we route to CPT.

What about the last week? Pages don't load, takes about a min b4 links start loading. Are they ever going to sort it out.

Right now my speed test to Durban server shows 0.24Mbps but my wupload download is running full speed for last half hour, seems to be an improvement over the past weekend for me.

Edit 06 Feb More inconstant speed today.

Had slow office hours downloads from Fileserve, same speed as my uncapped account, but after hours seem normal on my Telkom account, usually Telkom problems are resolved soon, will log a call tomorrow if it persists.

SAIX seems to be suffering consistent international line breaks lately.

Hmm, on a leased line to SAIX, during peak hours, we're getting about half the speed (33Mbps) international compared to what we get local (70Mbps).

So, I don't think this is necessarily a SAIX issue, but it may be a SAIX ADSL issue. Or, it could be a backhaul congestion issue. If guys on MWEB Uncapped are affected, then it points more towards backhaul congestion than international ...

Definatly isp related on my side, tested with my Afrihost account, weirdly does not seem to affect Telkom uncapped accounts, the experience is similar to extreme throttling, don't notice any drops in international connections, really not in the mood to explain to Telkom call centre, speed test consistently give me 0.24Mbps to the Durban server, Saix News Server gives full speed at night.

Definaltey something screwed up, i get download speeds and browsing speeds of at most 15kb/s from about 8am - 11pm, from 11pm my speeds go at full line speed. So is it definately not shaping or throttling?

So it's a gamble when u get 384 uncapped as to whether u going to be throttled or not?

SAIX lite seems to be only on capped accounts, so how can i be on SAIX lite on uncapped?

If its Telkom uncapped, the chances are its provisioned using Lite access is pretty high. Our Telkom Uncapped wholesale offerings are provisioned on Lite.

I'm pretty sure it would of said so in anything you signed about times of day and speed, hrmmm.

Some people say they aren't throttled during the day others say they are, it's hard to tell with all these problems.

Uncapped Internet Products Daytime Restrictions Internet Uncapped Price ADSL Line Price Combined Price
    Do Uncapped 384kbps

    6AM to 6PM: Up to 295kbps
    6AM to 10PM: Up to 354kbps
    10PM to 6AM: Up to 384kbps
    No restriction on local traffic

I'm not even getting 295kbps during the day ;/
