Okay so after a heap of hassle trying to find out why I'm already throttled even though it's only the 1st day of Fair Usage Policy I've established that I will get my new 3 gigs on my normal invoice date of the 13th. So my previous month start date was on the 13th of last month in which i already used up 3 gigs.

What I find curious is that the policy only kicked in today, meaning that yesterday I was supposed to still be uncapped and that the counter was only supposed to start kicking in this morning. Well apparently not.

Obviously I did. But what does that matter? Yesterday was unlimited. Was unlimited. Was unlimited.

Is there still a problem, damn right there is still a problem!! I believe that this is in contravention of the CPA. I want to be released from my 2 year contract with no penalties.

MTN fooled people by saying no limits knowing you will have to sign a 24 month contract.

ADSL uncapped 4Mbps for R899, now thats a good deal

Mtn sux now, seriously!!!!! Last night I started getting about 4kbps (second day of uncapped contract). That is definitely slower than 128k like they advertised and nowhere near the 256k throttled speed like we are suppose to have as of February :[[

Wonder if the CPA can get me out of the contract as I don't see how this is suppose to be usable... Even 256k speed would be 10 times better than what I have right now.

Here's a speedtest result, dl speed is now slightly higher than it was about a hour ago...

    0.06Mb/s down and 0.00Mb/s up 439ms

its official.MTN YOU SUCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! watching you tube was a pleasure previously , now it buffers every second , am lucky to even get a website loaded.the downloads speeds are horrendous.i rather make a move to telkom and mweb and be happy.i signed for top braodband data.mtn did not meet my need or expectations.MTN IS A FAILURE when it comes to broadband data.it failed to deliver.thought mtn was good , but it aint.dont think we consumers have much say.mtns fair use policy designed to limit and s c r e w the consumers with regards to broadband data.i didnot signed to be choked on data speeds.any good lawyers can help us ? i give up.going back to my post paid 8ta and soon telkom and mweb.i hope mtn has many lawsuits against them.serves them right.

Yello! From 01 Feb 12 the fair use policy will apply on MTN Uncapped Lite (256kbps after 3GB) & Pro (384kbps after 10GB) when the unlimited internet promo ends.

blah keep your crap mtn.you FAILED to deliver to the consumer.you definetly not the company to sign up for broadband data with.everyone be aware of mtns crap and choke speed.dont think you can download unlimited data or even browse at will.remember is capped from now on.

Hmm, my contract I signed is the 2007 version, I'm struggling to find the fair usage policy clause in the contract...
