Cancell that contract, rather go and get ADSL 384kbps, its fast for me 39kb/s download speed during the day and 50kb/s at night.
Fact 384kbps = 48KB/s noways you can get faster then that even if you unshapped in the middle of the night.

Prepaid 8ta data is faster! I'm getting 5.9 Mbps down and full signal (CPT and Lakeside) with a cellc MF190 modem, works like a charm. Just top up as you need

But how much are those boosters/top-ups. Say I download 20gigs on mtn 3g uncapped costing me R299. How much would you have to spend to keep up with me?

Can you play wow once you've hit 3GB?

I'm not sure it's possible to download that much on those speeds.

Without a winking smiley or other blatant display of humor, it is impossible to create a parody of Fundamentalism that SOMEONE won't mistake for the real thing.

First month on a 3G Uncapped Lite package for R199. For about the first 12 days I was able to download at speeds ranging from 200KB/s to 600KB/s - downloaded about 90GB. Looks like capping has set in now - speeds now range between 30KB/s to 60KB/s and I can download about 3GB a day.

Overall I'm pretty happy with the service considering the price.

Technically they drop you down to 256 Mbps which is a maximum of 32 KBps

What is the ping you get after being throttled?
