Thread: Which PSP & best price?

Default Which PSP & best price?

My son is turning 10 at the end of the month and wants a PSP as a birthday present.

I haven't spent much time looking at prices but I have noticed there are different models. Which would be a better PSP to buy? And where could I get it at the best price?

If you can afford it, get him the PS Vita. It's got "PS3 like" graphics and there will be lots of the latest games for it.

At that price I would get a PS3. I was hoping to spend R1k max.

Whats the difference between the PSP 1000 & PSP 3000? I see both going for about R1200.

The 3000 is thinner, newer, longer battery life.

Just make sure the one you get has wifi if you need it because there is a new model that doesn't come with wifi.

psp street I think it's called. Only has one speaker as well, so no stereo. It's also matte so looks like crap.

Since this thread is already here I thought I might as well ask something. My son has the psp street and whenever I browse the psn store on the ps3 I see some games show available for ps3 + psp, question is, since the psp doesn't have wifi how do I get the games on there? Do I buy it on the ps3 and then plug the psp into the ps3?

How bout a Nintendo 3DS it's cheaper than a Vita and at least from the next gen after psp&DS so it wont be outdated in a few months.

Only problem is the 3DS games aren't cheap!!
If you can read this... you can read.

It was for my son plus I don't want him to be able to access the internet anyway.

I stand corrected but the point of this is to use remote play feature so having Wi-Fi would be a bonus. I respect that no internet for your son so all is good .

Now that is what i call "street smart" .

Wait for the PS Vita to drop in price first ... it's a ridiculous RRP ATM!
