Me and my friend both have the BB Curve 8520, his on Vodacom and I am on Cell C. We both downloaded the exact same file and my speeds wher 27Kbps while his was 4Kbps. This was during the day and he lives directly opposite a Vodacom tower. Our phones where next to each other. I have first hand experience as I was on Vodacom before and my BIS was barely usable, but I ported to Cell C and my speeds are flying.

Seems the Service Providers are doing BlackBerry more damage then anything else by always having "grey" areas...
