Received the promotion sms a week ago. Recharged with R1200 on Sunday, 26th Feb 2012. 24 hours later and no 50% recharge bonus received. Called the call centre & logged a complaint. Seems like this might be something worth reporting to the CPA and / or the ASA for false / misleading advertising and touting.
Update: After logging a complaint, the bonus airtime was received within a few days. Result: R1800 worth airtime for R1200.

Here is a history of recharging since problem started:
20th Feb recharge R300 (10xR30) OK, but no bonus.
21th Feb recharge R30 OK, bonus OK
23th Feb recharge R270 (9x30) OK, but no bonus
Before 20th Feb every recharge returned bonus.
Sent Email to 8ta. Not a big issue, received some bonus already, it make me happy (not really).
@jhbhacker. How did you learn that you are lucky number? I am posting above to show it seem to be implementation issue, not a rip-off attitude.
