Importing CDs: Amazon US or UK?

The Super Saver shipping option ended mid January iirc. Checked out the T&C's on it some time ago. I'm not able to get any shopping done as every month, there seems to be 'Fires to put out' :/

Hey all

Anyone have experience with importing CDs from Amazon US vs UK? Amazon UK is slightly cheaper. I have had good experiences with Amazon US via Take2/Takealot. Wondering if I should try UK, then the saving could probably cover shipping.

I have ordered a few from Amazon UK, no issues at all. They delivered faster than Kalahari a few times.

Been a pleasant experience, of course depends on the vendors and shipping type i.e. combining purchases for cheaper/lengthier shipping or separating purchases for pricier/faster shipping.

Most orders are with Amazon for cheaper shipping (only pay shipping on 1 CD), estimated at 24th February (was nothing yesterday), and 5th & 8th March.

Other vendors used (all ordered 4th February):

youwantit-wegotit - 1 CD - received 14th
Jim ExSelecky (seem affiliated with Amazon) - 1 CD - 16th
nagiry - 2 CDs - 1 CD received 21st

Second CD from nagiry arrived cracked, was severely damaged. They refunded the purchase.

Sigh, thought CDs were tax free - got one now and paid R25 customs tax. Got about 10 more coming which will be R250 at least. And more customs delays.
