Thread: Cancellation terms/notices etc;

    Default Cancellation terms/notices etc;

    So, I'm looking for a new ISP.

    What I'm interested in is:
    1) Who has the best cancellation/pro rata billing option?want to jump right away)
    2) Some ISPs seem to have a thing where you have to cancel in ONE month ahead of time, even if you're not on a contract/debit order.

    So if you cancel on the 2nd of Jan, you still have to pay for Feb's usage as well, is that normal or does that violate the CPA?

    IIRC the CPA says 20 business days for a contract/debit order type situation, but what about month to month?

    I really hate being locked in.

    Most ISPs are like this now.
    The only one I can think of that works differently, is Afrihost... you get until the 15th or 25th, iirc, to cancel for the next month.

    However in my experience, Openweb, even with their industry-standard 30-days notice, has the best service and products
