This model is known to have a defective emmc and htc not accepting it as warranty repairs. So it is a bit of an issue for those of us who want to root it. Even those produced as late as november last year carry the issue.
Its a great phone for a light user though.

I spoke to the mtn guy and he said we should look forward to more contracts like these since the marlet is down and they are trying to push out phones! Maybe Galaxy S next month for R 110!I am heading off to MTN to check it out.
Sorry, I realise this is a stupid question, but just to confirm - you would be able to use this phone with a Vodacom sim card, correct?
