    Default Bad service from GMSA

This is a e-mail one of my fellow workers sent to GMSA after a bad service from them.Got the vechile two weeks ago brand new and the this is the canopy they gave.

Subject: Chev "sport" canopy fitted 15th Feb 2012. UNACCEPTABLE!!!
    Importance: High

    Good day to all

Attached are some photos I just took to show you what my canopy looks like.

Firstly, this isn’t the right canopy!

Also, LASport didn’t do a very good job with the assembly of the canopy. I can understand why, because it’s the wrong canopy! It doesn’t even have those bars on the roof and it doesn’t fit on my bakkie at all.

    My canopy

It overlaps and looks like a tortoise’s shell (photo 122).
There are gaps by the canopy door and the bin-door at the edges (photo 126).
    The rubber isn't glued properly (photos 131, 129, 125, 124, 135).
There is silicone stuck to the roof of my bakkie to fill the gaps between the roof and the canopy (photos 132, 139).
The canopy door is dented below the canopy door handle (photo 128).
There's a scratch mark on the canopy as well (photo 125).
On the side view of the canopy door you'll see how far over the edge the canopy door sticks out (photo 134, 130, 126). And yes, the canopy door was closed properly and locked when the photos were taken.

This is totally unacceptable! If you don’t have a canopy like the one I wanted, then you should have just said sorry, you don’t have it and it would have been fine. How can you expect me to drive around like this? And I am paying for this!!! I’m sorry, I don’t want this canopy. I want the proper new Chev Sport canopy!

No surprise there. I stay away from GMSA as much as humanly possible.

Had my Astra under a maintenance plan. Clutch/Gearbox went ka-blooey at 35000km. They refused to repair it even though both are under warranty. Cost me upwards of R28k to replace. I even had a forensic guy come in to inspect the car because they said it was me who was racing with the car (try racing in morning traffic in JHB, lols, wasn't even using the clutch at all!). The forensic dude included a paragraph that said "It might have been the way the car was driven", and based on that they declined fixing it. The last mail I sent them was to ask for driving lessons, because it wasn't included in the sale and since you have to drive your car in a specific manner, I felt that as their client I was entitled to their special driving course. It was brand new car. Rear window (electronic) didn't work, nor did the hooter/onboard steering controls. Brand new off the show-room floor. So much for their 100 point check they do (sales people)

I was also informed by a friend who does spray-painting for a living (repairs insurance cases) that my bonnet was resprayed. Not that great when it's a pearlesent black

**** GMSA. Last week I sold my Audi (who had to carry the shortfall on a car that depreciated 70% in 2 years) and I'm finally clear of debt from my GMSA mistake.... FINALLY.... 7 years!! I feel so liberated.

    Ouch, that looks bad.

Definitely a case to throw the CPA book at them. Incorrect product delivered, bad installation and service and all done without informing the customer of the situation.

They do not reply to the e-mail sent. So phoned them and all of sudden the one that did the deal is sick, the other one went for breast inplants and the sales manager do not know anything. They are just ignoring the problem.

Thats insane! What a crap company, no wonder they went bankrupt.

But seriously, involve the CPA, or the GM SA head office, if it even exists. This is very bad for their reputation, but they might pass the buck on to LASport ( i'm assuming they are seperate entities).

My dad also had a huge fiasco with his new cars gearbox. (Audi A4) They tried to blame it on him racing the car. A 71 year old man who has never had a speeding fine in his life? They all the same, blady scum
