lol true but the more votes are there the more the dev's at whatsapp will get the message that we want and need this. I know of 2 projects to make the app capable on the N9 but it's leveraging on the illegal side of the spectrum as the app then won't need to be paid for.
The N9 is an awesome phone and this is one of the few things it's missing.
I agree to a point but sadly to cheaply communicate with family and friends Whatsapp is needed. If everyone used Google Talk or had skype onn their phone I'd be happy but unfortunetly they don't and as I want to remain in contact.. This unfortunetly is a necessity. I hate BBM with the passion of a thousand suns though.. That service should disappear asap.
The problem I find with Google Talk and Skype is that they don't queue temporarily undeliverable messages at their servers.
So if the sender and the recipient are not both online at the same time, your message doesn't get through. This is one big advantage SMS still has.
