Why can't prisoners choose to be killed?

Nice happy Friday topic. If a prisoner gets sentenced to a 20 year stint or longer I reckon a good idea would be let them choose to be killed by injection or similar. Would cost the state lots less and therefore the tax payer lots less and so in a way the guy would be giving back to society. win win. No?

But all the people against the death penalty use this as one of there reasons, that it actually cost more to end someone's life 'humanly' than it does to imprison them.

I can't see how that is true, but it is an argument I have seen over and over again.

I agree with this idea though if I had to go to prison(hopefully not) I would rather tell them to end my life.

That's why there is quite a high suicidal rate in prison(or prisoner violence covered up as suicide's)

Also some people actually might have a better life in jail (servants in heaven, kings in hell) personally I would rather be a servant.

It's even cheaper for a family member and or friend to ask for medical parole on behalf of an inmate. No more overcrowded prisons and no more tax payers footing the bill for a murder and thief.

I think it would be easier to say would you want to die if you had been sentenced to 20 years in prison, i know i would, i know the 1st thing i'd do is try kill myself, i honestly don't think i would ever be able to manage to be in prison. i would be all like fml everyday.
