Hi, first time poster, long time reader.

Just signed up to DSL and I want to try an OpenWeb account, but I'm worried about IS's recent hiccups. Is an IS connection still toast during the day or have they sorted it out?

I just sent in the application and then cancelled it, but I'm having 3rd thoughts. Openbrowse looks really cool. Seen some nice words written about OpenWeb's service, but bad connectivity kind of negates good service.

I use IS uncapped. During the working day my download speed drops a bit, but not too bad. There is a period in the afternoon ( 20 mins or so ) when the sun gets in the way of the satellite and things go screwy, but this should be temporary as the seasons change I suppose. At night/weekends I flatline to Easynews no problem. There have been a couple of other hiccups but they have been making network changes. It costs a bundle but I am pretty happy.

PS Edit - SAIX also has its occasional problems it seems!

I have little problems with IS, but that doesnt mean they dont have any. all networks do. saix's international died about 3 times last week.

openweb offers superb customer support. when something goes wrong. they are there to help you through it. cool stuff!
