IIRC it was due to a system upgrade a year or two back - everyone who hadn't specified a birthday somehow got today.

Is rhere a very long list?
Could it be a year since all the people that did not have bdays were given bdays?
Can't remember the whole story but it was something about people needing bdays for some change on the forum.
Happy bday to the real bday people.
PS I would assume that it did not affect people who registered & withheld bdays since.
