I have a external antenna for the iburst desktop modem. The part where you have to connect it to the iburst modem is gone so i just have the antenna but cant connect to the iburst. I just need the cable between the antenna cable and the iburst modem. I don't know what its called but where can i buy it?

It's called a 'pigtail'. You should be able to get one from iBurst themselves, or from one of these suppliers:

    http://www.dbg.co.za/product_info.php?products_id=126

Tell them which model iBurst desktop modem you have, so they give you the correct pigtail.

I don't know where you are located but you can also try http://www.scoopdistribution.co.za/ for the pigtail... much cheaper.

iBurst ****ers sold my neighbour a 90 degree pigtail which would not fit into the modem. I had to get one from Poynting for her. They refused to take it back, telling her that her modem was out of date. R 450,00 down the drain

The connectors on the black 1Mbps desktop modem and silver 2Mbps desktop modem are called MMCX connectors.
    This might do the job:

...but best to check with kernel, he's the Uniterm Direct rep.

I don't know what connector is used on the older white desktop modems.
