Divide CMR in half for true Hz rating?

That seems to be the current situation, however there is no guarantee it will continue this way.

All these new motion ratings are based on the manufacturer's opinion of what the effective perceivable frame rate & motion clarify of a particular model is, irrespective of what (& how many) underlying technical mechanisms are used to achieve them. So there isn't even a guarantee that different manufacturer's ratings are even related.

Not that the previous system of quoting the DSP's frame rate was a reliable indicator either, the motion handling/clarity of a Samsung & HyFong 100Hz would usually not produce an equal quality result.

Hifi corporation in N1 city has that TV for 2600 on special from the 28th with 50units available

is it worth it for that price ...i know it comes with nothing but for maybe just xbox gaming and a media player ?

and also will game do a price beat seeing its on special at hifi corp

No substitute for doing it the proper way, go evaluate them first hand.

I assume you don't buy a car without first test driving it yourself (and a couple of comparable ones).

They also have the Samsung UA46ES6200 with a blu-ray player and three bd titles 4 pairs of 3d glasses for 11699. If I dont find anything at the H&G I am probably going with that although the UA46ES6600 is the better tv (micro dimming)

I hear you. I am referring to some way to identify (on the set), that is actually is 100 Hz instead of 50 Hz. Like with my 47LK530. I am still trying to get it to say "100 Hz". Blue-ray, HD channels and BoxOffice all display "50 Hz" when I press the info button?!

I have last night changed by "True Motion" setting to highest, still no difference. I guess I will have to go through the manual or do some searching on this issue. I cannot actually find a setting to say "change from 50 to 100 Hz".

Guys, please note I am a novice HD TV user, no flaming please.

no ....it only has one hdmi and usb which is for pics and mp3s i think
but for the price im thinking of taking it

yeah at the hifi corp at N1 city ...game has the same tv for 4k ...with a 500 voucher so you pay 3500
