Thread: Nokia Lumia 800 on MTN

Default Nokia Lumia 800 on MTN

    Hi

Do any of you or perhaps someone from MTN have any information on the status of the Lumia 800 at MTN, when it will be released?

I am due for an upgrade in exactly 3 weeks from today and I am looking forward to getting this phone from MTN on the Anytime packages. A friend of mine told me there is a story going roud that MTN are launching the Lumia 800 in 1 - 2 weeks time. Can anyone confirm this?

If MTN will not be offering the phone, I will have to buy it cash, and let's face it, it is cheaper getting it on the anytime packages rather. And I don't want to go to the blue/red team on the contract they are giving just to get the phone.

Does anyone have any info to save me from this turmoil?

    Thanks guys

Is a Lumia 800 good for web browsing (cause some Nokia phones are really bad) or does it still get beaten hands down by a smart phone on android? Just wondering!

How the hell did you get this right?????? I've phoned MTN Direct and gone to the stores around me and all say that it's not yet available.

Nashua Mobile has the Lumia 800 on MTN for R449/month on AnyTime 350 and R349/month on AnyTime 200. Both include 75Mb of data for the first 3 months

Cell C will offer it on their R680 business contract with 400 minutes and 250Mb data included, and Virgin Mobile also have it from beginning of April

I asked if it was available and they said yes.. I replied on which packages and then picked the cheapest as I was swapping to with a BB.. Was told it would be ready for collection in an hour..

Nokia confirmed to me this weekend that MTN does not provide the Lumia 800 directly.

I make awesome WP apps - search the marketplace for 'RogueCode'!
    I also write for WPCentral

roguemat, do you know how the arrangement with Nashua Mobile works...I mean how do they have a Lumia 800 on MTN Anytime contracts, but MTN SP itself does not? Like axxess offering ADSL line rental cheaper than Telkom themselves do...Doesn't make sense to me but maybe someone in the know can reply?
