Neotel customer base doubles

LOL @ Neotel. I will be leaving them at the end of the week if they cannot upgrade my package from 2GB to 5GB. I'm not prepared to pay R399 for a new ZTE data stick if my Huawei works perfectly well. I'm even prepared to port my Telkom number and pay for the new phone.

Next week I will be surfing on the 8ta 60+60GB promo.
 
Each time I read that head line I go "Good for Neotel, they went from 1 customer to 2 customers!"
 
People must be really desperate if Neotel is the best option for them.
 
100 000 customers in a country of over 50 million people is hardly something to be proud of.
 
Last time I checked I was not covered by NeoTel, but they no longer have a coverage map on their site. Unless I just can't find it.

They don't have a coverage map as it was too in accurate, I remember signing up with them couple years ago and they confirmed according to the 'Coverage Map' that i was covered, got home and nothing... after I singed a 24month contract.... let's just say I think I have decreased my life span trying to sort out this exact issue...

Friend have the prepaid in Elardus Park, Pretoria, telkom cables were stolen and Neotel was their only option. Cheaper than a cellphone apparently
 
Neotel's not that bad once you get around the slow response times and pathetic billing systems.

business can get 15MBps sync fibre uncapped for R11k a month (fair use of around 1.5TB a month iirc) which beats the hang out of other solutions on the market.

our voice costs went from R25k/month at Telkom to R10k with Neotel, no brainer there, we got more lines forthe same money 20 lines on Neotel vs 16 on Telkom.

Home phone costs (voice) came down dramatically plus I can call from pretty much anywhere in jhb at local call costs.

Ja, consumer internet sux but that's more a technology limitation.

Not talking about calls but for data they've probably lost some customers to 8ta/Cell C.
Do they even have a rep on here anymore?
 
Had a Neotel phone in my office for 3 years. It works about 70% of the time. Tired of complaining, nothing happens. Also a router with a switchboard. Voice quality is horrible. Complained, so they sent a guy to fit an aerial. No better. So they sent another guy who took the aerial away and came back the next day to put it back. Said it would fix it. It hasn't. When you call the number during the 30% downtime, a message says your call cannot be connected. So phone their 0860 number, go through all the motions over and over. But let you be one day late with payment, then they call you inquiring about payment. Phone got cut off in Jan as by mistake, book-keeper paid R1451,00 instead of R1541,00. No inquiry why R90 short, they just cut the line. Deposited the R90 cash on a Friday, had to wait until following Wed to have it restored. Asked them to make it a debit order and filled in forms, but nothing happened except got call to say not paid, and when queried debit order form, knew nothing about it.
 
emailed them with some questions on their products and never got a response. Great start.

anyway Im just waiting for them to bring out a competitive home broadband solution. R80 a gig is not competitive.
 
Capacity for 1 million customers?

If I'm not mistaken, Vodacom and MTN have upwards of 20 million customers each.

Neotel seems determined to be the underachieving loser at the dumbass end of the class.
 
Why do they have ANY subscribers? It seems they don't cover South Africa at all, unless the map is wrong?
