    I sent an e-mail - when do you think I will receive a response? Last time it was a week? Is there a way I can speed things up? This is really annoying.

    somewhere along the line 8ta messed up the towers :P my upload is also more than my DLoad LOL

    Your previous issue was due to you connecting to your ADSL and 3G at the same time. You should have received a call on the 28th to confirm this. We will provide your feedback and follow up.

    We don't see anything logged for you. Please can you provide us with more information wrt the problems you currently experience? We don't have many people reporting this and thus cannot treat it as a suspected outage. Use the OP in this thread and we will log it for you.

    No it is not. The day before the technician was there I plugged my docking station into the LAN to copy to my girlfriend's laptop. Granted your technician could not get any internet connection at the time because of this, but in an hour he could not figure out that the LAN was plugged in. I figured that out for him!

    My problem persists! I am bumped off of HSPA within 3 minutes of connection on most days. This is my problem, and even when I am on HSPA, the speed is slow, in the range of 30kBps, which is a far cry from the 500kBps I used to get months ago.

    Hi 8Ta

    i have sent you a follow up email regarding my recent (and fluctuating) poor speeds on 8ta. Prior to signing up with 8ta, i ws told that you guys run on a totally independant network from Telkom. Is this true? the pattern I am seeing is exactly what I saw when I had ADSL for a short while. Decent speeds in the morning (6AM-8AM) before leaving for work. but absolutely horrificly poor speeds in the evenings, when everyone else in the town is using teh internet. I was told that was due to an over burdened exchange. that is why i cancelled my ADSL and went teh 3G route.

    but i am now seeing that very same pattern on 8ta. has 8ta data traffic now been routed via the telkom exchange in some way ?

    need an update on my reference 1157475, as the query was sent to the wrong department by one of the technicians i spoke to last week and its been a week now (monday 2nd july )since the high latency started and its not the international server , its the connection between 8ta and telkom that gets messed up with high latency, and then when it connects to the international server, the latency is through the roof.

    everything you need will be found under my reference number.

    They are busy checking the technician's schedules. Even with the tracerts they need to conduct more tests and take other readings from site. The engineers will work on the information the technician has provided.

    This is not a long process. The engineers are standing by for the report and will deal with it as soon as they receive it.

    Hello 8ta!

    Again had two techies over to my apartment for about an hour on Tuesday. They spent a lot of time on the phone and said that some changes were being made and that they would call me to follow up after 24hrs. I have had no follow up call 3 days later and speeds are the same.. no improvement at all. Please follow up, I need a definitive answer from somebody about what is going on here in kenilworth.
